Scary Christmas, everyone!

As usual, a lot has happened since our last post! Abbey has been to Arkansas, has taken pictures with Santa, and has been walking for over a month now! You'll see why the title is "Scary Christmas" in just one tiny second...

Abbey's first try at eating spaghetti

She loved it!

Abbey's new tutu...she would only let me take a picture if she was drinking her milk. All other pictures were very sad.

Abbey and her friend Zoe; it's hard to see, but they're playing with a microphone and dancing!

Mommy and Abbey at a restaurant in Fayetteville, Arkansas called LouLou's

Abbey's new guitar outfit

She wanted to be supportive of Daddy taking guitar lessons!

Abbey's new chair! This chair originally belonged to my great grandmother, Davis, and then to me, and now to Abbey! Mimi had it re-stuffed and recovered to match her room. Thank you, Mimi!

It's a little blurry, but as you can see, Abbey was VERY frightened of Santa. Like mother like daughter!

Scary Christmas, everyone!!

Fashion show at lunch!

Ok, the title was for you fans of The Office. There was a fashion show, it was NOT at lunch, and it was also only so I could get some clothes for Abbey on sale :)

This past month has been pretty fun! Along with cutting all but one molar, Abbey has learned to walk! She's also learned how not to take a nap anymore. We just have to fill our days with lots and lots of activities, and by early afternoon, she's kind of ready for a tiny nap. Or a "naplet" as her Mimi calls it!

As always, we have lots of pictures; start at the bottom and go up to see things in the order they really happened!

What a cute ladybug!

She wanted to be scary since it was Halloween

Abbey and I at our costume party play group (you can't see, but I'm wearing a Halloween T-shirt)

She refused to look at the camera (for once!). All of her friends were playing inside, and she wanted to play too.

Abbey and Tony Romo...look out, Jessica!

Charley-girl the cat! This is Abbey's friend Charley, who we hardly get to see. It was fun playing with you, Charley and Bethany!

One of our friends calls Abbey a "hard smiler"...what do you think?

Chris and I made a haunted house for Halloween!

The proud couple and their "new house" :)

She looks like a celebrity baby posing for the paparazzi!

Daddy and Abbey making the same face yet again!

Mommy and Abbey are runway ready!

In the dressing room

Look closely- both feet are coming out of the same leg hole!! She woke up from a nap this way!

Abbey being cute, and waiting to hear Ben Folds play at the Kiss FM studio

At Farmer's Market

She kind of liked the hay...it was a little pokey, though

Happy Fall, everyone!

Abbey Hope is One!

Well, it happened...our tiny baby girl has turned one year old! Despite all of the crying and fussing (from me...), she is starting to grow up. As long as she stays this sweet, happy, and healthy, she can get as big as she wants. It's been a fun year! Her first birthday party was a success, and we got some great photos! Before I show them, here's a picture of her the day she was born.Aww...so sweet and tiny!

Here are some of the big birthday bash!

Happy birthday to you....

I can't eat cake while I'm wearing a crown!

Big, cakey smile for the camera

Thank you all so much for the love, attention, well-wishes, prayers, and gifts showered on this little girl. She is so loved, and she is such a blessing to us. What a great first year!

Our little ladybug is almost one...

Only 11 days to go! Our little kiddo is about to hit the one year mark, and it's gone by pretty quickly. This time last year, I was swollen, uncomfortable, and irritated at all the strangers who kept telling me I was "about to pop". It feels great to be on the other side of things!! I do miss the little tiny baby we brought home from the hospital; the one who slept ALL DAY and wouldn't kick or push away when you tried to cuddle with her. But, as I told Chris the other day, I'd much rather see her grow up than not! Here are a few pictures from the past month or so, including a little preview of Halloween!

What a cute little bug!

I think she likes her costume

Ten Months Ago...

I can't believe that ten months ago yesterday, we first met Abbey...she's growing up so fast! Luckily, we've caught most of it on camera, and want to share it with you! Along with crawling and pulling up, she has started to say a few words! She can say Mama, Dada, and uh-oh. We're not sure she knows what any of those things mean, but it's pretty funny to hear her say "Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh," as she crawls around the house. She even said it this morning when I didn't give her the bottle fast enough! And even though she can't say it yet, she definitely knows what "no no" means!

Grrrr...look at those teeth!

Still looking...

Hi, mommy!

This is pretty fun!

Just looking, not eating...

Can I change yet??

Ok, I'll just run away!

I'm good at pretending to love my carseat!

I'm so big, I'm helping Daddy lower my crib at Granna and Grandpa's!

Such a big girl

We'll keep you posted on any big events!
